I knew Dee through amateur radio, and in particular AMSAT. Dee was one of those special people who always had time for others. He an I worked together on several projects, and was always the consumate professional.

Dee, your sense of humor and fine trumpet playing will be missed, but always remembered. You are playing with the angels in heaven now my friend. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to you Ginny, and your family.

Dee was a class act. Always a gentleman, never a bad word or ill thought for anyone and his always present sense of humor was a mainstay of each time you would meet him. A real mensch. We will miss him greatly.

I did not know Dee that well but he was always friendly and willing to help with any radio associated problems. Will especially miss our rag chewing sessions when he was returning from band practice on Mon and Thurs. Words and symbols cannot express my sorrow for Ginny and her family .

All our love and prayers, Ginny, to you and the family...there are no words, as I know what you are going through. What a shock, and what a great loss to all. Dee was a wonderful man, and most gifted. Amateur Radio has lost someone very special. Please, if you need anything, call or email. God Bless - Love, Joyce KA2ANF, and George, KC2GLG

Dee was (is) one of my true friends starting in Lodi High and beyond today. He would invite me to his house after school and his mom would always make me feel welcome (eat..eat). His radio work intrigued me (whiskey bravo two sleepy hotel keeper- his early callsign). I went into the Army and he did also; we met one time in Vietnam. Also, we were both in high school band (ah..Mr Arace), Dee's trumpet and my sax. Dee got us both in a marching band in Hasbrouk Heights. I loved playing with him in the Rutherford band when I could on vacation.

I'm sure, just as for me, his Vietnam service has become more important as we have gotten older. Welcome home, Brother. As you go to the finale PCS (permenant change of station), say hello to all who have gone before. Rest easy, Dee. More people love(d) you than you might have thought.
