SCHMIDIG - Joseph F., 93 of Lodi on July 7, 2012. Before retiring he was an expeditor for Garden State Paper Co, Garfield. Joseph was a WW II army veteran Bronze Star recipient. He was a member of the National Association of Pearl Harbor Survivors, Lodi V.F.W, Lodi American Legion, Lodi Moose and one of the founding members of the Lodi Old Timers Club. Beloved husband of Emily (nee Ribar). Devoted father of John “Jack” (Donna) Schmidig of Port Charlotte, FL, and Jill (Dominick) Schmidig - D’Onofrio of Lodi. Loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Clara Colotto. Funeral Wednesday 12 Noon for a 12:30 PM Chapel Service at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi. Cremation is private. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O.
